Eutelsat Communications (Euronext Paris: ETL) today announced the upcoming launch by AB Groupe of a new pay-TV platform called BIS, which will be broadcast from its two key video neighbourhoods for satellite television in France. The new platform will be available to satellite homes from Eutelsat’s HOT BIRD™ neighbourhood at 13 degrees East and from its ATLANTIC BIRD™ 3 satellite at 5 degrees West.

The launch of the new platform underpins the Algerian government’s objective to manage the transition of the country’s broadcasting sector into a fully digital environment.

The capacity on Eutelsat’s W2 satellite will support the expansion of the Canal Satellite Réunion pay-TV platform which broadcasts channels and services to satellite homes in Reunion Island and surrounding islands in the Indian Ocean.

The 2007 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Eutelsat Communications, (Euronext Paris: ETL), one of the world’s three leading satellite operators, was held on November 9 in Paris under the chairmanship of Giuliano Berretta, Chairman of the Board. At the meeting, the statutory and consolidated accounts for fiscal 2006-2007 were approved. The shareholders decided to distribute 0.58 euro per share taken from the “Share Premium” account which will be paid on November 14, 2007.
