VIA EUTELSAT :: Disney Channel Turkey signs exclusive carriage with Digiturk

Disney Channel has inked a multi-year contract with Turkish pay-TV platform Digiturk to supply Disney Channel Turkey exclusively to the country's leading pay-TV platform. The new channel includes localised programming and promos dubbed in Turkish, and content that includes popular live action series, Disney Channel movies, contemporary animated series, entertaining and learning-focused series for preschoolers, and Disney Feature films such as Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid. Ertan Özerdem, General Manager of Digiturk commented on the latest addition to the platform: “We pride ourselves on bringing high-quality channels to our subscribers and are delighted to enrich our offering with the Disney Channel, which will appeal to both families and kids alike.”

Launched in 2000 from Eutelsat's 7 degrees East position, Digiturk benefits from the high-power regional footprint on Eutelsat's W3A satellite to reach over 1.2 million subscribing satellite homes across Turkey. Digiturk offers over 150 TV, radio and interactive channels.
