VIA EUTELSAT :: Giat Industries uses satellite for remote analysis of land and air-based systems

Active in over 100 countries, the primary activity of Giat Industries is the supply and maintenance of equipment for Air Force, Navy and security forces.

In order to streamline interventions, Giat Industries has deployed a remote analysis system called TELEDI@G®.

The system uses a satellite link provided by a D-STAR terminal, which is integrated by Com-IP into a transportable system for real-time connectivity between on-site technicians and Giat Industries located in Roanne (France).

“Our capacity to maintain land and air-based systems in fully operational mode is of strategic importance for our clients,” said Fabien Jeanselme, Head of the TELEDI@G® programme at Giat Industries. “A twoway satellite link conveying images, voice and data enables us to optimise turnaround times from diagnosis to supplying replacement parts.”
