VIA EUTELSAT :: Slovenian channels join the Balkan neighbourhood at 16 degrees East

TV Pika and Carli TV are the first Slovenian TV channels to join Eutelsat's growing Balkan neighbourhood on W2 at 16 degrees East. TV Pika, one of the most popular regional television channels in Slovenia according to AGB Nielsen research, produces all its own content, with themes ranging from business, politics, and science, to sport, entertainment and life-style, and the channel has a wide ranging audience of various age groups. Music channel, Carli TV, broadcasts pop and rock music hits from Slovenia and around the world. Producing much of its own content, the channel is aimed at younger audiences.

Both digital channels are uplinked from Lubljana by Slovenia’s satellite broadcasting solutions provider, STN Ltd. They broadcast 24-hours per day, free-to-air to homes throughout Slovenia and the rest of Europe, stretching the penetration of W2 to one of the last countries in the region not previously served by this satellite. With over 250 television channels, W2 is the leading DTH satellite for the Balkan region and central Europe.
