VIA EUTELSAT :: National Moldovan TV launches on W2 satellite

Moldova's public television operator, Company Teleradio-Moldova, has chosen the W2 satellite to launch its satellite broadcasting operations. Signing up with Eutelsat for 3 years, the public operator started broadcasting the international version of its national channel, TV Moldova International, in-the-clear, on 1 January.

W2's strong footprint over central Europe, as well as western Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, enables Teleradio-Moldova to further its coverage in Moldova , and also provides expatriate Moldovans with a link to their home country. The launch of TV Moldova International on W2, further strengthens the strategic importance of this video neighbourhood in central Europe, and marks the first step for Eutelsat in a country that is new to the world of satellite broadcasting.
