Eutelsat’s latest video broadcasting location at 9 degrees East is home to the recently redeployed and rebranded EUROBIRD™ 9A satellite, formerly the high-performance HOT BIRD™ 7A. Adjacent to the prime HOT BIRD™ neighbourhood, Direct-to-Home (DTH) TV households can receive TV programmes from both orbital locations using an off-the-shelf dual-feed satellite dish.
Located just four degrees from our premium video neighbourhood at 13 degrees East, the new orbital position has been developed to support TV and radio broadcasting, enabling new thematic channels, regional/local TV broadcasting and High Definition TV channels to broadcast to an already established audience, via capacity at highly attractive rates.
