TELECOMS :: VSAT SERVICES

Point-to-multipoint networks for business and government applications with long-distance telecommunications needs

VSATs are a well-established telecoms solution, with more than one million terminals installed in more than 120 countries, according to the Global VSAT Forum. No longer the sole domain of large international corporations, smaller equipment and better economies of scale have enabled service providers to offer VSAT-based solutions to smaller enterprises and agencies for rural telecoms, maritime communications, distance-learning, telemedicine, point-of-sale services, disaster recovery and remote surveillance.

VSAT networks:

:: highly reliable networks over a wide geographical area, with the same quality of service and identical implementation and infrastructure costs for each site;

:: interconnect sites with inadequate terrestrial infrastructures available;

:: broadcast information efficiently to a large number of sites;

:: dispense with multi-operator agreements and control the network from one central point;

:: optimise infrastructure costs by using bandwidth sharing.

VSAT networks are ideal for business and government applications with long-distance telecommunications needs. These efficient point-to-multipoint networks are simple to install, offer immediate accessibility, continuous high-quality transmissions, and can be expanded at very low extra cost as your business needs evolve.
