Like the ATLANTIC BIRD™ 1 satellite, ATLANTIC BIRD™ 2 provides an American coverage and a high power European coverage with transatlantic connectivity, which enables transmissions from the US Eastern Seaboard or South America to reach directly to Western and Central Europe and the Gulf.
In addition, ATLANTIC BIRD™ 2 provides a high power Steerable coverage for accessing other geographical regions. This coverage can support regional services, or can be interconnected with either the American coverage or the European coverage, providing a high degree of flexibility for inter-regional services.
