The Eutelsat Multimedia Platform (EMP) is a satellite-based IP broadcast platform enabling high-speed Internet access and multimedia downloading.
Located at Eutelsat’s fully-owned teleport at Rambouillet, near Paris, the EMP broadcasts clients' data over Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas via three of our satellites - ATLANTIC BIRD™ 1, W3A and EUROBIRD™ 3.
The EMP operating centre handles the MPEG4 encoders, dedicated application and security servers, DVB/IP incapsulators, and satellite transmission. It is also connected by fibre to major POPs in Europe, making it easily accessible for content producers.
