Connecting communities in rural Alaska, USA
Across Alaska's most remote regions, thousands of people face limited or non-existent internet access. Eutelsat's satellite solutions are bridging this divide, delivering reliable connectivity where terrestrial networks cannot reach.
Expanding Remote Satellite Internet Access Across Greenland
Greenland's vast, frozen and mountainous terrain poses a highly complex connectivity challenge to national postal and telecommunications company Tusass. In 2025, Tusass signed a strategic partnership with Eutelsat to connect strategic sites on the ground to a resilient, low-latency communications network powered by the OneWeb low Earth orbit satellite system. Sites include critical infrastructure, maritime operations, emergency response and community broadband.
LEO Satellite Backup for Critical Subsea Infrastructure in Alaska
After undersea fibre cuts disrupted communications across parts of Alaska, including a January 2025 cable break caused by sea ice, Eutelsat worked with local partners to deploy LEO satellite terminals. The solution restored critical connectivity for emergency services, local government and essential public communications while cable repairs remained impossible.
